Andreas started his career as equity analyst in First Securities where he worked in the period 2003 to 2007. From 2007 until 2013 Andreas worked on the investment team in the asset management firm Formuesforvaltning. He was member of the firm’s 5-person investment committee who was responsible for the firm’s investment portfolio of NOK 45 billion (USD 6 billion). During his time in Formuesforvaltning Andreas was responsible for the Nordic equity portfolios, the global equity portfolios, and the hedge fund portfolios. In June, 2013 he founded what is today CARN Capital.
Andreas has a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics. He is also an Authorized Portfolio Manager and has completed studies in Advanced Valuation from The Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts and Norwegian School of Economics.
Christer has been working in Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund, for nine years before co-founding CARN Capital.. He has experience from operations, risk, and analysis and portfolio management. He started as Analyst in Fixed Income in New York, and then moved on to become Regional Operations Manager in Asia. For the significant part he has been an Analyst and the latest years he has been a Portfolio Manager responsible for an equity portfolio of NOK 50 billion (USD 7 billion).
Christer has both a Master of Science and MBA degree from the Norwegian School of Economics within Finance. He is also a Norwegian and European Certified Financial Analyst and Authorized Portfolio Manager from The Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts and Norwegian School of Economics.
Jonas Skattum Svegaarden
Jonas was working at Svenska Handelsbanken Capital Markets for nine years before co-founding CARN Capital. He has vast experience from asset management and the global securities industry. The last 5 years in Svenska Handelsbanken, he held the position as Country Head of Securities Services. His responsibilities covered the entire space of securities services, such as custody, fund accounting, operations, asset servicing, depository services and issuance services. He was responsible for securities portfolios of NOK 350 billion (USD 44 billion), invested in 60 markets globally, across various financial instruments, on behalf of Norwegian and International institutional investors. He also held positions as Head of Operations, Compliance Officer and Depository Manager.
Jonas has a Master of Business and Economics (MBE) within Finance from BI Norwegian School of Economics in Sandvika, and is authorized Securities Dealer by the Norwegian Securities Dealers Association.
Knut Anton Mork
Knut Anton has more than 40 years of experience from finance and academia. Mr. Mork started his career in academics at MIT, University of Arizona, Vanderbilt University and the Foundation for Research in Economics and Business Administration (SNF). He has also been professor at BI Norwegian Business School. He then switched over to the financial industry. From 1996 until 2016 he was Chief Economist Norway and Senior Economist at Svenska Handelsbanken. He headed the macroeconomic research group in Oslo, a part of a global macro team. He has twice headed Norges Bank Watch.
In addition to his role at CARN, Mr. Mork recently headed a government appointed Committee bearing his name, with a charge to reevaluate and consider possible changes to the equity share and the reference indices for the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global. He is also an Adjunct Professor in financial economics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Mr. Mork holds a PhD in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Bjørn-Atle started his career at the Norwegian Competition Authority, before pursuing a PhD in Economics at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), specializing in the analysis of strategic interaction in markets and behavioral economics. As a part of his PhD studies he spent two years at Harvard University. He then went on to work in Telenor Research as a Senior Research Scientist in an expert group specializing in analysis of consumer behavior and market interaction. Bjørn-Atle also has extensive experience in applied econometrics, holds guest lectures at NHH and has published research in highly ranked academic journals.
Bjørn-Atle also holds a master’s degree from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) with economic analysis as specialization in addition to his PhD degree.

Thom Erik Borgen
Thom Erik Borgen is partner at the law firm Simonsen Vogt Wiig. He is a highly experienced business lawyer within corporate finance, M&A, stock exchange, securities, capital markets and compliance. He has extensive experience from private equity and venture capital markets, nationally and internationally, and has previously been partner in an Oslo based investment company. Mr. Borgen has operational experience from developing start-up companies to established listed companies within the TMT sector, Oil Services and E&P Oil companies. Borgen has broad board experience from stock exchange listed companies and investment and fund management companies.
Christian H. Thommessen
Christian H. Thommessen has extensive international experience from the private sector including the finance sector, public sector and civil society. He was board member in the Norwegian investment firm Kistefos and chairman in the publicly listed company Opera Software for many years. Today he is board member in responsAbility Investments AG in Zurich, one of the world’s leading asset managers within impact investing (assets under management: USD 2.9 bn). He has also been chairman of the board in Save the Children Norway and the global Save the Children Alliance, as well as board member at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Norwegian national broad caster NRK. Thommessen has previously been consultant in McKinsey, plant director in Norsk Hydro Notodden, CEO in IBM Norway, General Manager for IBM’s European internet business, CEO in Glamox as well as director in United Nations Development Program’s private sector divison.
Anne Kvam has a long and broad experience in responsible investments and corporate governance. She was the leader of the Ownership Policy department in Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) for 5 years and in this period developed and implemented ESG strategies, processes and systems for integrating responsible investments in the Government Pension Fund Global (the Petroleum fund). She has previously worked 15 years in Norske Skogindustrier ASA and played a central role in several M&A processes. The last 4 years she was General Counsel. Ms Kvam is currently working as a Principal Consultant in DNV GL, serving clients in the financial market with advisory within ethics, sustainability and responsible investment.
She is a regularly attending alternate at the Board of Folketrygdfondet, a member of the Telenor Corporate Assembly and has previously served as a member of the boards of Nordea Bank Norge ASA, Norconsult AS and the BI Norwegian Business School.
Jens-Petter Glittenberg brings a well of entrepreneurial experience to the firm. Mr. Glittenberg has been involved in a number of successful start-up companies the last 25 years. Mr. Glittenberg is co-founder and Director of Meltwater Group, the global leader in online media intelligence.
Meltwater was bootstrapped with USD 15.000 in 2001, but the company has over the last 12 years grown (without any external funding) to an international leading company within their niche with approximately 1.000 employees in 27 countries with revenues of approximately USD 150 million.
Lars B. Thoresen
Lars B. Thoresen has been Managing Partner/Joint Managing Partner for Verdane Capital Advisors from 2008 to 2015. Lars joined Verdane Capital’s Oslo office in 1999. Verdane manages more than NOK 6 bn for Norwegian and international institutional investors, and has 25 employees in their offices in Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. At Verdane Lars has been instrumental in the acquisition of both several portfolios of direct investments as well as individual companies, such as Nordic Venture Partners, Ferd and EasyPark. He has also helped build and grow a number of portfolio companies from a board role, such as Opera Software AS, Liaison Technologies Inc., CRF Health Oy, and more recently Napatech. In 2016 Lars moved to a Senior Advisor position at Verdane, opening up for external roles and investments. Lars has since taken on Board positions in Arundo Analytics Inc. and The Future Group, investing in both.
Lars holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a BSc in Finance from St. John’s University, New York (USA).
