Our history
The company was established in 2013 and is currently involved in both fund management and asset management for individual customers. We place great emphasis on quality at all levels - both in the way we work and in the way we invest.
From the outset, our investment strategy has focused on companies with clear quality characteristics: low debt, low capital intensity, high return on capital, barriers to entry and pricing power. We also look for management teams with incentives that align with shareholder interests and a business model that is simple and understandable.
In parallel with our focus on quality, we have also integrated social responsibility into our investment process from day one. Sustainability, ethics and long-term value creation are fixed elements in our analyses.
For some companies, consideration of this type of value is often linked to specific products or mandates. For us at Carn, on the other hand, this is a fundamental principle that we aim to permeate the entire organisation.
In our work as an investment advisor and asset manager for individual customers, we therefore emphasise both social responsibility and quality investment. The aim is to create a safe and solid risk-adjusted return for our customers, while at the same time directing capital towards projects that help to develop society in a positive direction.
Our name is based on the old Celtic word for «cairn». For thousands of years, cairns have marked the landscape and helped travellers find their way. For us, «cairn» is a symbol of our ethical responsibility - a mark that shows we're on the right path into the future.
